A working fan only proves airflow. If the car still overheats, the problem is circulation or capacity: a thermostat stuck closed, a radiator core blocked internally by old coolant or externally by grit and insects, a failing water pump, or air trapped in the system after a leak or a careless refill. Air is the one people miss — a pocket at the high point of the system will cause overheating with a full-looking expansion tank. Pressure-test and scan before replacing parts.
