What Are Rear Bumper?
Like the front, the rear bumper is a painted plastic cover over the actual impact structure rather than the structure itself. What makes the rear one more involved to replace is everything mounted in it: number plate lights, reflectors, parking sensors and, on cars fitted with one, the towing eye aperture and its cover. On the C3 and Xsara the failures we deal with are almost entirely low-speed — trolley knocks, reversing into a bollard, a parking scrape — plus the retaining clips at the wheel arches, which go brittle and snap.
