Citroen Relay Exhaust Tips

This is the least expensive thing you can do to an exhaust. Budget clamp-on stainless tips are genuinely cheap; bolt-on twin-outlet units styled to match the sportier trims cost more but still sit well below any other exhaust part. One piece of advice: buy stainless rather than chrome-plated steel. Plated tips look identical in the box and start blistering within a season on the coast. Send the model for a quote.

Barely. A wider tip can add a touch of resonance at certain revs, but the character of the note is set by the silencer and the catalyst long before the gas reaches the tip. If you want a deeper sound, that means a different rear box or a full cat-back system — a tip will not get you there and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. Treat tips as trim.

A standard C3 silencer outlet is usually around 45 to 55 mm outer diameter, with the sportier trims running a larger twin-outlet arrangement. Measure the outlet itself rather than working from the model, because an aftermarket rear box fitted at some point will have changed it. A photo with a tape measure across the pipe tells us everything — matching the tip to the exact outer diameter is what stops it sitting crooked or rattling loose.

We source both clamp-on and weld-on tips nationally. The twin-outlet styles for the sportier C3 and C4 trims are the ones we are asked for most. Weld-on gives a cleaner result and cannot work loose; clamp-on can be fitted at home and removed again, which matters if the car is on a lease or you want the original look back.
